This month’s article features an update on what’s happening at Y.E.T, an update on Rob’s Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb, Wedding transport is our feature experience of the month and this month’s team member spotlight is on Jenny McAulay.
What’s happening at Your Exclusive Tours?
It is hard to believe that August has come and gone so quickly here at Your Exclusive Tours. There are only 16 Mondays until Christmas Day. How scary is this?
August has been a month full of smiles, laughter, birthday celebrations, and social wellbeing and connection. Our Ladies’ Day in the Yarra Valley was all about social wellbeing and connection with the group from Connected Women. This group’s focus is meeting like-minded people, sharing a common interest or bond, and forming new friendships. The day out involved a Gourmet Chocolate Tasting, Wine Tasting with Cheese & Grazing Board, Two Course Lunch with another Wine Tasting, and a Gin & Cocktail Experience.

One of the real highlights for the month August was a 90th birthday celebration for our guests whose family had travelled from the Caribbean and Europe. We love creating these special occasions and private tours for our guests to celebrate.
A business trip combined with a family holiday here to Melbourne allowed us the opportunity to explore The Great Ocean Road and Yarra Valley with this amazing family from Malaysia. The smiles and laughter were continuous over two days and we captured a number of pictorial memorials.
Finally, as August gives way to September, we look forward to welcoming Spring and saying goodbye to Winter.
Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb
Your Exclusive Tours owner Rob Rees has been a volunteer firefighter with the Country Fire Authority for 15 years. This is the 10th year that Rob has completed the Melbourne Fire Fighter Stair Climb, asceding Crown Metropol in 25kgs of turnout gear and wearing breathing apparatus.
The Melbourne Fire Fighter Stair Climb has raised over $638,000, with the end goal being $700,000 by World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2023. This year’s charity partners are Lifeline, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and the 000Foundation.
A highlight for Rob climbing the stairs was getting a selfie with one of the event volunteers on level 18 in the stairwell. Events like these rely on amazing volunteers.
Rob would like to say thank you to Chief Concierge Matthew Du and Paul Schroeder from Crown Towers Concierge Team coming and wishing him luck and providing words of encouragement. Congrats also to his fellow brigade members from CFA Bayswater on completing the climb. It’s not yet too late to support the climb and donations are welcome at
