In this month’s newsletter we bring you up to date on all that’s happening at Your Exclusive Tours, our highlighted supplier is 12 Apostles Helicopters and the destination experience of the month is our On Demand Concierge service.
What’s happening at Your Exclusive Tours?
What a busy month April was with the school holidays, the Easter Break, ANZAC day long weekend, and the continued enjoyment of warm weather with the autumn days. In comparison to last year, bookings were steady however the impacts of Middle East crisis, fuel costs, and economic conditions started to affect the business.
We have worked several guests to reschedule the bookings because of the Middle East Crisis, extending through to the tail end of the year. One of our guests emailed our office wanting to know what our cancellation options are available and we setup a chat with them. By having this chat with the guest over the phone, we were both available to understand each other’s position. The guest still wanted to travel and visit Melbourne however the Middle East crisis had spooked his family, the cost to travelling (left flights to the last minute to book), and the potential loses of deposits paid. Whilst Your Exclusive Tours has Terms & Conditions in place, we also pride ourselves working with our guests to understand and find common ground for a mutual outcome. It is all about honest and open communications.
With the increase cost of fuel over the past couple of months, we welcome and applaud the government’s response to the cost of fuel. Your Exclusive Tours is an Accredited Sustainable business and have a partnership with GreenFleet to offset our carbon emissions from our vehicles. To assist with the cost of fuel and in lieu filling up at the end of each tour, we are now gauging fuel levels and filling up as required. Depending on which tours we do, we are getting 2 tours out of a tank which is fantastic. More importantly, this has helped us manage the cost of fuel and at this stage, not implement a fuel levys.
Our highlights for April include:
Paddy & Courtney’s wedding at The Farm Yarra Valley. Paddy getting in trouble from his mum for smoking a cigar before saying “I do”. Courtney and her father sharing that special smile as he helps her out of the vehicle.
Brick Lane Brewery at Queen Victoria Market is a place known as Husband Day Care as these gents found out whilst sampling some great beers. Their wives participated in the sport known as shopping.
Exploring Maits Rest on a recent Great Ocean Road tour experience was a highlight for our guest. Check out this video she made of her walk though Maits Rest.
Review of the Month
This month’s review is from Diane, whose daughter engaged Your Exclusive Tours to manage the transport for her wedding at The Farm in Warrandyte.
