This month’s newsletter features a recap of our February adventures, Rob gets philosophical about solo touring & adventures, our feature destination is Victoria’s beautiful Yarra Valley and we turn our Your Exclusive Tours spotlight onto our youngest team member, Tyson Rees.
What’s happening at Your Exclusive Tours?
Your Exclusive Tours flew through February with private tours throughout our beautiful city of Melbourne and amazing regional destinations in hot pursuit. It was a record month with the number of bookings and the number of solo guests booking private tours with us.
Travelling by yourself gives you so much freedom and flexibility to do what you want, when you want, and how you want. When I have travelled by myself, I have found it be exciting as you don’t know who you are going to meet, what or how you are going to do, and where you are going to be. You learn from experiences that develop different versions of yourself.
Whilst I am no philosopher, similar sentiments were echoed via our solo guests as to why they were travelling by themselves. Whether it was to learn, experience, or visit that bucket list destination. For some of our solo guests it was about chasing a lifetime goal and finding closure. Their life partners were no longer alive and they made promises to one another to chase and achieve their dreams.
As I have said in previous editions of Have You Heard Y.E.T?!, we love connecting with our guests and observing the smiles, laughter, and banter whilst creating that memorable experience around our motto “Your Tour. Your Experience”.
For the Your Exclusive Tours team, February was a very humbling month of meeting some amazing, colourful, and unique guests from all walks of life.
This month’s feature review is from a Shore Excursion. The guest provided us with a brief to include some higlhights from our always popular Melbourne City Sights & Surrounds Private Experience, combined with Puffing Billy. We love creating customised itineraries for our guests to Create, Explore and Experience. We had a great day with Mike and we thank him for leaving this review for us.
Speaking of photos, we recently received a follow-up email from the Tarbel family, who toured with us in 2022. Valerie shared a scrapbooking page of her Great Ocean Road experience, which looks like it brought some wild weather, but still provided some big smiles!
When we hear from our guests after they return home, it reminds us that although we go out on tour as strangers, we come home as friends. It is an honour and a privilege.
Destination Experience of the Month – The Yarra Valley

Operation Support Officer – I clean and wash the vehicles, hand keys and paperwork to our guides going out on tour in the morning.
